Art 1 Final Portolio

This painting was the most stupendous of them all.
I am not sure why this painting was the most successful, but my god, you can't deny that it was.
I spent more time on this painting than was needed and I used every minute wisely in class.
My favorite part of this painting would be the happy little trees. Even though they are in the foreground, they are the highlight of the painting, in my opinion. The skyline also makes me happy.
This painting is such an inspiration to me. It says, "When life gets purple, keep moving forward."
When I reflect on my glorious journey here in Art One, I usually remember this painting and I smile.

Although this particular project was not my favorite, I feel as though I learned a lot from the progress of creating it.
Let's face it; it's not the juiciest fruit in the garden. There isn't a great reason to love this piece of art, and I don't, but I learned something from it anyways.
I learned that even if you may not like something, you're just going to have to find it within yourself to tough it out, because in the end, you will benefit from it.
Is that not what school oughta teach you in the first place? Life is full of difficult situations and, like this project, you'll just have to press forward
So yeah, the drawing is ugly and generic, but the lesson I learned is beautiful.
Art-wise, I bettered my artwork dealing with perspective and I learned that colored pencil's are not my favorite flavor of gum drop.

I incorporated many of the skills I had learned previously in the "Shading Unit" into this beaut.
All those brown bags and paper curls that I drew before this project, finally paid off in Pacman.
My favorite part of this project was the fact that it was a group effort.
I hate everyone, so working with other students is difficult for me.
But after this project, I felt that I could open up more to my peers and share my artwork experiences with them. Throughout that week, I grew closer to my table partners which allowed me to meet new friends.
We all had different techniques that contributed to the overall project, which turned out just lovely.
Despite the nippy weather outside, I loved this project because allowed me to break free of the same daily routine I had.
I didn't really understand the point of this project.
The process was rather repetitive and I just couldn't grasp an understanding of how i'm becoming a better person because of this.
What was I supposed to gain from drawing an animal and printing it multiple times?
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible project, just pointless in my opinion.
The leaves were actually fun to cut out, and I glued the little pieces of rubber to my binder for reasons I couldn't even explain.
Drawing the iguanna was sorta fun, but that's something I also do on the top of my Algebra 2 tests.
At least you tried, Mr. Sands. I still adore your character.

Now, this artwork.
There are no words that could possibly describe how much I enjoy this piece of art.
I have this spray painting on display in my room because it reflects my personal style.
When I was a little chitlen in elementary school, while my peers were out conquering the world, I was inside with a salty pretzel watching The Nightmare Before Christmas VHS on repeat.
I must have memorized every word of that movie. It's slightly ridiculous.
This artwork is a reflection of my childhood.
Thank you for providing me with this opportunity.
There is no class this semester that I will miss more than Art One, and I mean this.
