WHEN developing my drawing, I noticed the different textures of the face and the different shades for the contrast. I noticed how the figures eye are shaped on one side of the face is different then the other side. I noticed how the shadow made his eyebrows look thicker.
Before beginning this sketch, I made a quick value chart on a seperate sheet of paper as a reference. I noticed the very right of his head was the darkest and the left was the lightest and went from there. By using this technique, It allowed me to achieve full range of the different values within my portrait.
The artwork I did today was more neat then usual. I didn't venture out of the lines and kept the drawing looking similar to the original picture.
I ran into a bit of trouble when crossing over to the dark side of the face (the right side) and had to make a quick decision to change my value scale. Thankfully, I overcame it and saved the day.

☑Cartoon Bones ☑

I was NERVOUS at first...This was my first "real" project in Art class and my adrenaline was pumping. I was convinced my artwork in previous art classes would never amount to anything worthy of being displayed on the World Wide Web.
When I began on the Bones project, I first focused all of my attention on the odd head shape of the character in my picture.
The ribcage is the body part that I had the roughest time with, yet I managed to overcome my weaknesses and pull it together just in time.
It was a truly outspoken experience and will be difficult to top in artwork in the future.

Thanks to Mr. Sands for the opportunity
